i sure hope the gas mileage on these things are good. Im really thinking about buying one of these when they come out, but if they don't get any better then 23-25 mpg city im not even going to bother.

Maybe I have driven big trucks too long but I am pretty happy to be able to get 24 highway on mine at 65mph. Mine is a one ton dually 4x4, but I'm damn curious to know what 1/2 ton truck that you know about gets the kind of mileage you are talking about? Please let us know.

I do like the idea. It has been a long time coming. If it's true about the old flatheads, seems like we can always learn from the past. I have always believed that.

Without some kind of visual I'm still a little lost on how the whole exhaust system works. Any one got a pic? Sure sounds interesting, would just like to see a visual to compare with what I'm thinking :

That direct exhaust-to-turbo is a pretty interesting setup. I've looked hard at that pic and still cant figure out where exactly the intake ports are, though.

SAE International posted there new 2 page report on this engine yesterday. I have the link but you have to be a member to see it. I have a copy and am trying to scan it and then post it.

If someone does have a membership with SAE International this is the link.
