Merchant Automotive is the place. Just remember that 800hp will require yearly refresh no matter who builds it. We are in uncharted territory here.

Mike, if he lives out West, I'd say your shop, Inglewood Transmission, would be the place.

Jeff, just look up "Suncoast Transmissions"..they are located in Fla. You can have your's built right there.

As for refreshing the trans.....I'm no expert.....Mike and Eric are....IMO you are asking a lot of even a built Allison to handle 800HP constantly. The clutches can get worn, and have to be checked and possibly replaced every year when you run that high HP (and related torque).

Thanks Tom but I am here supporting paying vendors and Eric Merchant knows his stuff.

dieseljeff
Don't be looking for the right price when it comes to the Allison; look for the shops that are keeping the fastest Duramax/Allisons alive. Suncoast happens to build the Allison for the fastest Duramax on the planet and Eric has a few killers under his belt. ( very big belt ) laugh
