LMM Tranny Dead @ Merchant's Event

Last night a new LMM with 3200 miles lost forward gears after doing some burnouts in front of Merchant's Automotive. It is straight piped, and has some sort of box on it. We could hear the tranny slipping bad, and then nothing, but reverse. More info later.

Abuse.... The gift that keeps on giving....:deal:

Bet this guy is going to be ticked off if this is not covered by warrenty... Go buy a $50,000 truck and beat that crap out of it.... Its these kind of situations that causes the ripple effect of dealer and manufactures voiding warrentys, not for aftermarket, but for abuse...

Well jus my opinion... Hope the guy gets the tranny rebuilt with the hardware to handle the future abuse...:

Blessings,

Heck if hes got enough money to go do that kind of stuff for a 50k and he has no regard for his investment he shoudlnt mind paying. You pay to play. I do hope he gets it fixed, pictures woudl be great, wish i was up there.

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD

It isn't Wayne's tranny. It was behind a new LMM '08 D'Max.

The owner of the truck wasn't really upset about it. Pretty much knows there is no warranty. Merchant is already getting parts together
