Considering a 91 Chevy build

I found a hell of a deal on a 91 Chevy that is under construction. The current owner has already done a lot of chassis work and the tear down. The front has three inch drop spindles, nicely painted frame, and big new chrome rims with new tires on all four corners. It is not 100% complete but there is enough there to make it worth it. It is a truck in a box. But I think it would be a great build. I have a 350 sitting on a stand in my garage begging for a HP build. This would be my first ever GM build so I am not sure where to look for the parts I need. I know about Summit, LMC, and so on. But I was hoping some GM guys could point out a few other sources for parts. Also, is there anything about this body style a first time GM builder should know? I need to do some math before committing to this purchase.

As far as I know that truck has tons of parts and options available to anyone looking to upgrade it, the 350 is almost limitless as to what you can do with it because the aftermarket is huge for SBC engines, one thing I have learned lately is if you want HP, don't skimp on the heads or cam, heads that flow (like some AFR heads) can gain you something like 100hp over stock by just bolting them on!

You need to also consider with that if you want to go EFI, TBI, or Carburated, I guess it all depends what your emissions standards are where you live as well, that may play a factor in your choices

Just from aesthetics stand point I would upgrade the front end to a 95-96 one, they just look better

I rrally want to go with an after market EFI. But this wil be a budget biuld so a carb is what I am going to use. I would like to upgrade the front clip, but the one with the truck is complete and in good shape. Inerior parts is what the truck is lacking most.
