Mounting CB near brake controller?? is this bad

i may have to move my brake controller because i installed a cb in the dash pocket under the climate control. The unit is about 6-8 inches from the Prodigy. I just read that RF emiting things should be a foot away atleast?

I dont want this to be detrimental and im leaving for a 1000mile trip tomorrow

I have heard about these things causing problems, but who knows. Also it may be the CB that gets all wacky instead of the brake controller

Don't how either was wired in, but if you hook the CB ground to one of the batteries, that should help.

Keep the coax away from any wiring helps. If the coax poorly shielded, it can pick up interference from the other electrical wiring. Same goes for the speaker lead wire if you used an external speaker. If the ext. ant wiring is near the coax, it will cause a lot of noise, and sometimes squeal at you.
