Angry Unsatisfactory Service....

Hello all,

Just a warning to yall, and see if anyone else has had this problem...

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic with the 06 LBZ. On the 18th I purchased a PPE Economy Xcellerator Power Programmer from Xtremediesel.com. Due to me deploying back to Iraq in less than a month, I was in a hurry to get it so I 2 day aired it to me from the company in NJ. It got here on time. I open the box excitedly, felt like a kid on christmas. I rip past the programmer so I can read about how to install it, and start playing with my engine. I read the cover of the instruction manual....Its for the 04.5 to 2005 LLY...Ok...Duramax engines are not that different. Maybe if I call PPE, they can tell me it will still work. NOPE!
Now I am forced to pay shipping and handling back to Xtremediesel.com, and go through all the return process hassles. I am not sure if it was a mistake with the personell shipping the item, or the website I had navigated by clicking on links. Either way, be cautious when ordering from Xtremediesel.com.

Has anyone else ordered anything from them? Also does anyone have preferred sites to order their parts from? Please drop me a line. I am all about reliability. I will update this post with how much of a pain it is to return something they screwed up.

Also, I ordered and EGT gauge. Surprise here...It was on back order for a week when I ordered it. Did the website have that info? NO.

I am very disappointed, and give this company one thumb down...The other one is still out to lunch on this.

Have you tried calling ppe? At the very least they will know about the dealer's incompetentcies. Their service is pretty darn good.

I think what mckey is saying is let PPE know about the problem with the company you bougth the product from so they know about the issue, since it deals with their product, although there is no issu with PPE. They have done nothing wrong at this point.

Thumbs up

Well, I contacted Xtremediesel.com today, and a woman that helped me was named Jessica. She was a sweety, and was very helpful. I am very pleased with the courtesy that was extended to me. Now if I can just get out work long enouhg to take my arse to the post office.

Also the problem was partially xtremediesel.com, and partially PPE. PPE has very similar part numbers for those specific items, and xtremediesel failed to pay close enough attention.

All is fixed..

Will more than likely deal with xtremediesel again.

Yeah i told you they arent all that bad. Pretty nice people. So before a transaction is finished, dont say anything bad about any vendor in the future. Most of these guys are all in it for the same reason we are, and you do have the occasional snake. But im glad everything worked out for you

I was surprised the seller wouldn't just send a call tag and exchange the tuner, since they sent you the wrong one in the first place. Good to see that a little old-fashioned communication got your issue resolved.

Should we change the title of this thread now?
