my blower motor doesnt work

hey my 2000 chevy is having troubles with my blower motor...it only works on setting 3, 4 and 5...1 and 2 have been out for a while...I believe that this would be some sort of resistors or something to change motor speed...I heard something about it being under the dash somewhere but just seeing if you guys have had any info on this? seeing that its starting to get cold I dont wanna get caught with no heat : thanks for your help:

Replace the blower motor resistor module. It'll be mounted right next to the fan motor on the passenger side on the underside of the HVAC ducting.

Could also be the speed control switch. I'd replace the resistors first. Cheapest.

At least on a '97 GMC 2500, they have the resistors hiding behind the glovebox. Lots of sharp edges hiding in there. Was a bloody mess. Cut my hands up pretty bad. issed: issed:
