3500HD 4x4 5.9L Cummins!

Here's a very rare 3500 HD crewcab 4x4 conversion with a 5.9L Cummns conversion, too! Pretty cool. Kinda weird that he doesn't have matched axle ratios, though.

He answers the mismatched axles question in the auction:

Q: what is the front axle ratio, how did the axle ratios end up mismatched?have you run it in 4 wheel drive?thanks Dec-31-07
A: FRONT RATIO IS 4.88 RATIO MISS MATCHED WHEN CUMMINS WAS PUT IN, 4.88 WAAS WAY TO SLOW FOR THE CUMMINS MOTOR, WE CHANGED REAR TO 3.54 AND DECIDED TO DO FRONT LATER

Didnt even finish the A/C install, either. Must be a project that someone got bored with and didnt finish, or ran out of money.

I really like the "Professional" installation that includes the DODGE RAM nameplate on the engine!

IIRC, there is a place in Montana (?) that specializes in kits to do that swap into 90's GM trucks.

I think it would make a great truck with the front differential swapped out and a lo-profile utility body with a gooseneck hitch.

I'd buy it if it was closer to home! What a great spare/beater/work truck!

Nice truck,I'm going to watch it and see if maybe I can't get it bought if it sells right. I always wanted one of those 3500HD's.

Tom: Autoworldmt.com is the place in Montana. They do anything you can imgine. The last one they did was an 06' Ford F550 4x4 that has a 6.slow and now has a Common Rail in it. The owner is fixing to put a Common Rail in his 06' Chevy Crew Cab gasser.

I wish I could get someone to drive it up here then I'd pay them & pay to fly them home.....

I think it's worth 5-7 K. Prolly have to put 3-4 K into it just to get everything ship-shape.
