I herd a rumor that the dmax get the ax in 2010 because it can't pass the epa regulations.Any truth to this?

The engine may not be long in its present form. More than likely it'll end up as a 6.9. GM is coming out with a 4.5 Dmax next year, too.
GM would raise corporate stupidity to an entirely new level if they axed the Dmax program completely.

Sounds on par with the "Ford owns Cummings" rumors.
