VVT turbo questions

What year did GM start using the VVT turbo on there trucks?

Do they have as much trouble with them as Ford has with the 6.0 VVT?

Actually looks like the same turbo except for mounting and cooling passages..

I haven't heard of any problems and I haven't had any myself, I have spiked boost gauge to 44 psi which i never let it stay up there. They say the life is limited when pushing 40 psi

From my understanding, life for the turbos is limited if you boost forty plus pounds for an extended amount of time.

I know its a Garrett VGT and I think the boost is around 20-25psi but I could be wrong.
