Does anyone know what this gauge is for?

I was given a new GM truck instrument cluster and it has a gauge in it that I don't know what it's for. The pressure range on the dial is 0 to 1000 kPa (0 to 145 psi). There are two needles on this gauge, one is orange and the other is white. On the back the gauge has two connections for tubing. Here's a link to some pics of the gauge. Does anybody know what it's for?

I would say that is for air pressure. Two needles one for primary air tank other for secondary air. Prolly for a c-60 or bigger truck. I am guessing late 70's early 80's. The 80 c-60 in my sig was hydraluilic brakes and the vacuum gauge was where the ??? gauge is on yours.

I have a PSI guage like that from Firestone. Same white and orange needles. Mine is used for airbag pressure. One for each bag. I decided to use the orange needle for tank pressure, and the white for bag pressure since my bags are hooked together.

Fordt good idea for the use of the air psi gauge. Most of the air bag systems I have seen do not have a tank just a 12 volt comp.

Is this cluster for the 87' GM truck also pictured ? 1500/2500ish truck ?

I'm just wondering why such a gauge would have been included in a cluster for that sized truck . . .

The only manufactures use of a bicolored air pressure gauge as described is for air brakes as mentioned. The same stamping for the cluster is used on most of the GM products including frame only package cars and motor homes.

The position on the stamping is used for vacuum gauge, clock, tach, altimiter and I have seen a fuel gauge there but the fule gauge position was taken with a tach and the owner had the skill to make the change.
