The 2006-2007 LBZ has the most power and the fewest problems. For comfort, the LB7, LLY and LBZ are about the same. You get anywhere from plain jane work truck all the way up to fully loaded with leather. Durability is similar through all models.

I have to agree with the Canuck on this one. I would 06/7 LBZ unless you want to go new.

they all tune easily so there is no problem like that on the duramax, you can get a simple plate that blocks the egr and most tuners get rid of the CEL.

Our EGR is quite a bit different. A plate costs $10-15.

i think i paid $18 with shipping from the states Josh PPE or EFI will keep the valve closed and eliminate the CEL by simply shutting off the EGR system all together

the all out #1 performer with a tuner is the LBZ, it responds the best to power adders, untill you crack pistons....

I'd have to say LB7, but i'm biased.....

If I could do it over again I would get an LBZ. All the power of the LMM, no where near the emissions equipment, and that slick six speed.
