1997 6.5 suburban

Hello Everyone. I dont post alot on here mainly because I dont have a diesel yet, but I have found a 97 6.5 suburban near where I live for 4k. I was wondering how the longevity is on these trucks and what to look for if I buy it. Are they known for certain problems, etc.. Thanks in advance!

You would probably have a much better response it this was in the 6.5L section. PM a mod/admin and they can move it for you.

The 6.5 diesel. . .First thing i would do is see where the PMD is if it's on the Injector pump or if when you open the hood you see and funny Fined unit with a module mounted to to it i would expect a PMD failure soon. . .

Lift pump = LP Oil Pressure Switch = OPS Pump Mounted Driver = PMD.

top 3 things that fail if properly repaired shouldn't fail again. . .
