2005-2008 sierra 2500.

hey everyone,
so i have been thinking and thinking about what truck im going to save up for and i have finally found it.
i am looking into a 2005-2008 sierra 2500 HD duramax 4X4 with the works.
i am doing more and more research everyday and i'm just wondering if there are any prominent problems with these trucks with specific motors and whatnot.
if anyone has any information i would GREATLY appreciate it.

thanks guys,
erik

2005-2008? That is a wide array of variances.

2005=LLY/5 Speed Allison, some over heating due to poor intake mouthpiece. Injectors 2 & 7 may have connection issues leading to all kinds of unwanted hell, but the Ice Pick works great.

2006=LLY or LBZ/6 Speed Allison, very few issues, better C2 in the Ally and a second OD.

2007= LBZ/6 Speed Allison, the most sought-after package right now!

2007.5 - 2009=LMM/6 Speed Allison, new body style GMT900 is way better, but the DPF on the LMM is a PITA to most. A DPF Delete and straight pipe, making more like an LBZ in a better body is great. Look at mine!

The usual stuff still applies as these are diesels. Some have injector issues, but they are few and far between on the LLY and up. I never had the over heating issues on my '05 LLY but I did have to Ice Pick the 2/7 connectors.
