Best year for D-max?

I'm asking fo a friend. What would be the best year for the D-max? What kind of milage could he expect? Any known problems with cretin years? Were there any years that did not have EGR?

Thanks

I'm biased because I run LB7's but they definately do the best on milege. They can have injector issues and headgasket issues. The headgasket issues are more caused by person behind the wheel than the truck IMO. I know my first H/G was a coolant line failure and the second was a operator error

Thanks

I'm prob gonna try to talk him into a LB7. He is wanting the truck for a DD and to pull the cattle trailer maybe 2 times a year.

He is no hp junkie unlike me. lol But i told him about EFI live and all the stuff you can do with it and he seams very intrested in it.

I would still recommend the LBZ. All of the LB7 injector warranties are over or nearly over so the money is already going to spent. Just have him spend that money on a newer truck.

In my opinion it was the LBZ.

X4 for the LBZ, there is an EGR but with a Block plate and PVC re-route the EGR is no longer a concern
