hi/low beam all on mod

do you guys know about this? I looked back a few pages and didnt see anything about it, if not i'll share it for sure. I could take a couple pics, but its VERY easy. took me longer to find the diods at radio shack then to do the whole mod.

you get a $.99 diode from radio shack and put it between the 85 of the low beam and 85 of the highbeam relay posts. It allows you to keep your low beams on when using your high beams.

I've seen this mod before and its a great upgrade. I purchased the all-on kit from painless performance before I even knew it existed.

You guys can make your headlights come on manually also you know. Where they wont come on automatically at dusk for you. Thats easy one too.

Ok heres the easy way. IF you have climate control then you will have 4 wires if not then two.

The little bubble on your dash is what your after. Easiest way to get to it is pull the radio out and go from behind and up. That little bubble is a PITA to get out sometimes but IIRC it just twist out gently. Once its out this is what you do:

Non auto climate models - You should have just 2 wires in there. Black and white IIRC. You can cut them and put one resistor end on white and one resistor end on black to complete the circuit.

Auto Climate models - You will have 4 wires on bubble. Cut the black and white and run your resistor same way as above.

Ok what you need to do is buy an 8.8 ohm resistor and run it from the white wire to the black wire.

Another way of doing this is from the BCM under the dash. I havent done it this way but have heard of it. Might be easier to work with. Heres how:

The white wire is landed on the BCM at J3-A4 and the black wire at J4-B7. I believe that J3 is the middle connector on the BCM and J4 is the right connector. Someone may want to verify this. I know that J2 is the left connector. So what you would do is find these plugs and locate the actual pin on the plug. Like J3 would be middle plug and A4 would be the pin within that plug. Should be a white wire. Cut that up a little bit so if you need to re splice to stock again you can. Locate other plug and pinout and DO NOT CUT the wire. It is the ground and you need it to stay that way...lol. Do peel back a little bit of the wires insulation so you can wrap the resistor end around it and solder it to it. Connect other end of resistor to white wires end and make proper connections. You may be able to just get away with soldering resistor end to white and trying to stab other end of resistor into the pinout for the black. Wont hurt to try. Test it all out and put back together.

Ok whats next? Now your gonna be asking for how to make your switches blue LEDs....lol. Trust me....that was a REAL PITA! Looks cool as **** though.
