All we do is add fuel at the idling RPM. Then as soon as the PCM sees the RPM out of range (because the engine revs because of more fuel) it cuts fuel to bring it back, therefore you get the lope. No timing, or pressure is added. Another thing, any most Duramax guys have a Lope setting on a DSP swich. The truck is not started in the lope position. Making a Ford lope through the ICP is bad news. It DOES add HPOP pressure to the injectors. A custom burnt chip or program through a good tuner is probably adjusted with Pulse width or something like the Duramax...I dont know for sure, I havent got my Ford software ordered yet.
