Here is one you don't see every day...
It is called a Snow Trac ST4 and it was made in Sweden from 1958 to 1980. Approximately 2,200 were made. It weighs 2,400# and is powered by a 60Hp 1,600 cc VW air cooled industrial engine. It also uses the VW 4 speed trans axle as well. Rated to climb a 50% slope with 1,500 lb on board. It has 3 bench seats facing the middle and a drivers seat. It puts down about 0.75 lb/sqin. of down preasure on snow, mud, sand, tall grass ect. They have been used all over the world to get to remote locations, including the south pole, and the north polar ice caps. Many in Alaska and Canada, as well as europe. Fun as hell to drive!! Deep snow no problem, will go any where a sled can go.....
Goes about 20 mph with the original gearing, but can be made to run around 25 to 30 with changes.
