6.0L Powerstoke running on B99

 Five days ago I filled up for the first time with B99. When I filled up I was darn near empty, I had been driving for about 75 miles with the low fuel warning light on. Then yesterday I filled up again and checked my mpg. I am pleased to say that I gained 1.5mpg from running B99 . My truck seems to run performance wise the same as it does on petro-diesel. No loss of power that I can tell. The engine is more quiet at idle and it sounds different at startup, less of the rrrrrrrraaaaaaapppppppp sound. Also it does not seem to smoke like it used to when I really get on the accelerator. I am going to continue to run the commercialy made B99 until I get my operation up and going. I am going to change my fuel filters after this next tank and possibly cut open the old one's and see how gummed up and dirty they look. I hope to hear of more 6.0L powerstroke operaters out there running on Bio-D in the near future.

What I am in the process of doing is buying a 330 gallon tote and mounting it on a trailer. That way I can by a large quantity and keep it at my house.

Is there anything special about storing bio? With a 330 gallon tank will you need to put placards on your truck/trailer? I have forgotten how much is considered a reportable quanity.

I have no idea. I probably should look into it through DPS. I just gonna take my chances most likely. I see quite a few of these pressure washer guy's with these same tanks on their trailers and no placards. But they are hauling water so..........who knows. The best thing to do is check with your state for the correct answer.

I went down yesterday to fill up with bio, since when diesel was closer to 2.00 a gallon bio was 2.70 and our local officials were supposed to give bio a .50 cent tax break. Well when I went to fill up diesel was 2.80 and bio was 3.29 WTF happened to this tax break did they take it and then stick it to us even worse. I mean I want to get away from buying foreign oil but not at the cost of losing my house trying to fill my truck.
Hopefully my brother will pull through he says he's setting up an area to make it at his house but he's kinda slowww sometimes, it took him about 4 years to build and 8X10 shed .

I have not filled up with petro diesel since early march. Truck runs great on the B99. I am really looking forward to making my own B100.
