Anyone up for some Bio

I live on Long Island and I am looking for some people to partner up with to start producing some Biodiesel. I don't have the space to do it, but with the summer off, I have the time to help set up a system, get it running, and collect oil.

I am a Science Teacher and just had some of the kids in my class make up some bio from different types of oils, for a science fair project. It was pretty cool and it worked.

So if you are interested let me know.

Thanks

Mike

hey mike, i'm tommy from sunny NC. good luck finding someone to help, i make biodiesel myself and come here to ask a question ocassionally, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in bio fuels with these folks. but i'm with you 3.00 a gallon is crazy when you can do it for around 1.00. sure theres a little work involved but what would i be doing anyway watching TV? if i can help in any way i will.

If you where in Asheville, NC I'd let you hook up w/ my production as I make less and less now a days, since my SVO conversion I make about a batch every other month, so my reactor has a lot of down time.

Have you tried over at biodiesel.infopop.cc yet, probably get more people there.

I'd love to have the time to make bio. I just don't have the know-how or the time to dedicate to it.

I have no clue why people are not more interested in doing this, I would do a svo conversion but it won't work with my truck, oh well.

mike, can't see why you can't do an svo conversion on your truck i read about them all the time. i also understand that the cummins engine fairs much better with svo than my powerstroke. check out Journey to forever website you can get info on double tank and single tank systems.

The dreaded vp44 i hear doesn't really like svo conversions, but i have a fass, and i would like to think it would flow the oil alot better than the stock lift pump, but i will check anyway. Thanks
