Update on waste oil recovery

Hey guys,

In my negotiating for waste cooking oil, I have found out that hardly any resturant has to pay to get their oil picked up. Around here, a company has had the waste cooking oil game rapped up for the past 50 years and they are located throughout the east coast. So I am having to give the resturants more money per gallon to get their cooking oil. After talking with some resturant owners they are unhappy with the current company pumping their grease traps as well. Well since my family owns a fleet of vac trucks, might as well pump their traps while Im there right? So I shot them some prices and every is excited about finally getting a new trap service and getting some descent money for their oil. Wish me luck fellas.

Matt

What kind of set up do you run in your truck? Do you mix the veggie with diesel fuel? Do you pre heat prior to running the oil? If so how do you heat it? Thanks

Where are you located, the same is here in Indiana, I think the name is GA Winter & Sons, but not totally sure. I tried getting in, but they have it wrapped up pretty good around here, driving trucks from dep in Ohio to come over here to pump places out. Ticks me off! But what can one do.

Im in NC. Carolina by Products is the company here, they have the whole mid atlantic and south east mopped up. They charge alot and give hardly anything for the oil. On top of that they do a bad job. The vac pump on my truck makes theirs look like childs play so I will be able to suck the traps alot better. Oh and if you call Carolina by Products to buy the waste oil they just picked up, 1.85 a gallon! I will cut them off at their source! muahahaha

hi, i'm from high point,nc i've run into carolina by procucts myself. i know this probably ain't right but i have 2 or 3 places that tell me to suck from their pick-up container that they don't care, i know that technically it belongs to carolina by products ,but why would they miss a little oil here or there?
