$1000 reward to report Grease Thieves

Just thought I would let you guys know that Carolina By Products and Valley Proteins are giving $1000 to information regarding people stealing WVO from their grease bins. These two companies have most of the WVO buisness mopped up on the east coast. So if you are stealing from their bins watch out, and if you are stealing from any of mine also watch out! I just caught a theif this past week. Also if you are looking to getting into picking up oil resturants that are getting paid for their oil are right at .40-.50 cent a gallon depending on volume. Low volume resturants are not getting anything for theirs but they are NOT charged to have it picked up. WVO has a commodity price of 1.82 a gallon last week.

WOW... Ive been wondering about this... I figured some big company would start collecting WVO from restaurant's and pinching the small guys out. Ive been reluctant on installing a WVO kit into the truck for this reason. I live on West coast so maybe it hasen't cought on yet

The largest WVO collector in the country is on the west coast so I am sure it is happening there too.

It's a PITA around here to find any waste oil. I just go by Bio in town Bulk for now to get by until I find a source.

Offer them 50 cents a gallon for the WVO. Dont be cheap, you will steal be getting fuel for .50 plus .75 to process. Thats a savings of 2.25 a gallon, steal a deal!
