transformer oil?

I was working for a guy acouple of months ago and he has been running oil from electical transformers in his truck and eguipment does anyone have a opinion on this do you think it's safe.:shrug:

yes it is ok(safe) my bro has a 98 12 valve, and he runs motor oil, trans fluid, hydraulic fluid with no problem

Most new transformers have mineral oil in them.

i know hydralic fluid is supposed to be equal to 30w motor oil but only for topping off

does the truck smoke bad when running that stuff?doesn't clog injectors

As long as you don't exceed about 5% volume of oil. (Cummins Specs)

(5% Volume is about 1.75 Gallons of oil to 35 Gallons of fuel)

As for me I run right at 128:1 ratio of 2 cycle oil and it runs great. It lubes the fuel system up, the 2 cycle oil is meant to be burn compared to transformer oil (mineral oil), leaves no deposits on the pistons or injectors. Plus it increase my summer MPG by about +2 MPG's... As for power I got good number on the dyno look at my sig...:Thumbup:
