Time to stick it back to Big Oil!

It is time to stick it back to big oil, and only us as the citizens of this country can fix it! We elect our officials into office, then let them screw us half the time, and most line thier pockets with money from all over the place.

I prupose a way to fix this problem in our country of rising fuel and oil costs. Contact your state officials and voice your opinion of price gouging. The oil companies are reporting record profits, at our expense! Lets do something about this situation, the more that do contact, the more these guys will notice that the American public is not going to stand for it anymore. Lets all make this happen!

If you have a MySpace account, copy and paste this as a bulletin, and then ask all your friends to do the same. This is our country, time to take it back from the corruption of our political appointments!

While I agree with you the cost of gas and diesel is wayyyy to high. Its not the big oil companies setting the price its the oil speculators(buyers of future contracts on the commodity market) They drive fear in the public to raise the price. Oh no there is a hurrican predicted somewhere

I agree though that these execs make too much bonuses also though. I have no prob them making a couple mil a year salary but a bonus 10, 20, 30 times there salary, come one:shrug:

one more thing, exxon said they are spending 25 billion in upgrades, that is 25 billion going into our economy, steel, construction etc

The U.S. is in a recession. One result of it is that the dollar is weak compared to other curriencies. Oil is traded in U.S. dollars so investors and speculators around the world are buying up as much oil as they can because it is cheap for them right now. That is the main reason the price of oil is skyrocketing. There is plenty of supply and demand in the U.S., in fact demand has dropped because of the high prices. These prices are just the tip of the iceburg. Some economists say that gas will be @ 5 a gallon by the end of summer. Giving our elected officials a peice of our minds can't hurt but I doubt if any real change will come of it. I remember hearing about the governor of Montana and maybe South Dakota(?) promoting diesel made from coal that was supposed to be free from sulpher and low in CO2, and cost half what conventional diesel does. They claimed that there was enough coal deposits in their 2 states to last 50 years. Yeah it would not be pretty on the land and there would have to be some limits imposed but what the hell it's in our country. Does anyone know what countries are our #1 and #2 suppliers of oil? It's not Venezualla, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Russia, United Arab Emerates, or Kuwait. #1 is Canada. #2 is Mexico. Now tell me why Diesel is $4 a gallon.

There's plenty of oil within our country's reach. The enviromental wackos have seized contol of the press and the elected officials. Also no one wants a refinerery built in their back yard...none have been built for the past 35 yrs. It seems that the future of our country is being placed in the hands of snail darters and polar bears. Makes no sense. The man made global warming hoax is the final nail in our coffin. Get ready for the new world order. A leader will emerge to "seemingly" solve these contradictions.

most of ya'll on here are older than me so I'm sure you'll remember when the truckers stopped around Washinton ( I read about it) Well now is the time to do it again. Hell if trucker took 1 day off the oil companies would feel it and so would all the other folks of America, if you piss enough folks off something is bound to happen.

I love running bio it's just that the price of bio is sometimes not to far from the price of diesel and in some places inthe US it's more. I will run it until I can't afford it anymore and ride my bike to work.
