First 20 gals. of WEO

I have saved oil in the containers it came in for several years and thanks to the knowledge on this site have been able to hopefully make it more useful than I had hoped. The first twenty gallons of a mix of appr. 60% diesel and 40% WEO are in and apparently doing well. The truck's boost level in 80Econ is 26lbs. in OD very constistently on No.2. It is now seeing 29lbs. Static fuel pressure is 72lbs on no.2. It is 75lbs with the mix. EGTs havent gone up like I figured . That puzzles me somewhat. The mix has been filtered down to 1 micron. Ill report economy as soon as I can get the numbers. I would like some info on ash content and effects if possible. Thanks. GREAT FORUM!

I've got about 80mi on my first mix. I thought my EGT's were higher but I was towing a 5ton truck.
Where did you get your 1 micron filter? I'd like one. I just have a 10.

I got it from vegpower.com . It is a sock type filter. 7"x32". Five for around 22 bucks. I am gonna get a pvc pipe to put it in. It comes with a metal ring in the open end.

No ill effects other than the 95% tank. The FASS pump didn't like it and I had no power no smoke no egts.Got 15.5 MPG out of it.2nd tank don't know my MPG haven't filled up yet.

I just put 600mi+ on yesterday with a mix of diesel and waste oil and had issues with my filter plugging. Now it may have just been by chance cause it'd been a while since I changed filters and my truck needs one about every 10K. Put a new on at about 375mi and made the rest of the trip fine.
I'm definately having egt issues running it while towing heavy.

What are you seeing??

What kind of issues? I take it really hot? What was your mix ratio? I'm looking at doing this really quick in the next week or so.

I kept getting a low rail pressure code and a large fuel system leak code . Once I changed filters I never saw another code.
Mix ratio was about 7gal of oil and 12gal of fuel for 220mi,then I added 5 more gal of oil and filled the tank up with diesel.

Tempwise I have a heck of a time keeping it under 1200 degrees towing up any incline unless I back off to about 50-55mph . I can easly peb the pyro at 1600 if I hold speed. I do tow very heavy but I haven't been having issues untill a while back but the oil has increased egts.

Nothing a 5" exhaust and a water/meth kit can't fix  .

Are you mixing the fuel and oil before you put it in the tank? I assume you are. Im not familiar with the dmax other than I know I dont want to race a modded one. I will tell you that my truck seems to run very cool egts. I borrowed some modds from my turbo buick days early on and they worked. The ccv was modded with only 100 miles on the truck so the intercooler is clean of heat insulating oil film. The cooling system has only 1 gal. of anti-freeze and a double dose of anti-cavitation conditioner. The rest is distilled water. The boost has been manually matched to the tuners specs. 0-100mph will produce 1050 deg.F The truck weighs 7600lbs. Dp tuner 120 setting. Towwed a FEMA RV at 75mph that was 6700lbs and 31ft. long. Temps never went over 950 in 80econ before 4" turboback and Gillet hi flo outlet and 1.0 ats turbine housing. Temps seem slower to climb with the mix for some reason but the truck seems peppier even in stock setting. Checking mpg rite now but after this tank I will take it to the track and work it some and see what happens. Kinda wondering if egt probe gettin coated. Flame suit on for coolin system modds.
