Brake light problem

I am trying to hook up the lights on my dump truck. This is a little different than I am used to. The truck has separate brake lights and turn signals. All my trailers have combined brake lights and turn signals. What do I need to get to make everything work? Do I just need to wire the brake lights into the turn signals at the trailer connector with some diodes to prevent them from feeding back into the turn signals? Or is there a simpler way?

Okay, so you need to wire a trailer into your truck that has separate lights?

They do make small convertors you can wire into lights to convert separate to combined and visa-versa.

Found a link for you.

I was looking at those converters. Not till today did I see one large enough to make me feel comfortable. Most of them are only good to about 2 amps.
