trailer lights help

Oh how I hate trailer lights:RTFM: Anyway last day of duck season and my lights went out on the trailer on the way home, no big deal since it was the last day. Well now I am trying to figure out the prob. At my connector on my truck both the 4 and 7 pin connectors everything checks out fine except the running lights:shrug: I checked where the the plug taps into the lighting circuits and it was tight, couldnt get a tester up in there though. Any ideas??

Thanks

Well first check the fuses, if you can get a test light & on the truck check the pin at 11 oclock you should have 12VDC+ when the parking or head lamp are on. If it does & you got no light on the trailer = bad ground. You should have continuity between the trailer frame & the pin at 7 oclock on the truck.
