Question Traction control for a tow vehicle??????

I have heard that ladder bars are not a good choice for a tow rig. Why is that? If they are indeed a bad choice what form of traction control should I build?

ladder bars alone would be bad as they would cause binding in the suspension. ladder bars with a shackle would be better as they will allow the suspension to still move but will control axle wrap and wheel hop.

No, either a single center link or a set of links on both sides working in conjunction with the leaf springs.

A single center link instaed of a four or two link. Like on this Ranger I biult a while back.

If I went that route it would have been much larger. On a six cylinder trail truck, that was enough. No, I think I have decided on a shackle ladder bar set up instead.

good choice. remember, traction bars are good long. ladder bars are good short.

2-3ft is a good length.
