What MPG do you get when towing?
I am planning a trip this summer that is 4,000 miles and will be towing a 32 foot toy hauler that should weigh about 12k. My MPG seems very low when pulling this trailer, I have only had it a short time but I only see about 7mpg when towing in the mountains. My last toy hauler weighed 10k and I would get 10mpg towing it?
I have tossed the idea around of a new truck but I may still not be happy with the MPG???
What is your tow vehicle?
My 5ver weighs 12,000lbs. Worst I get is 10mpg in mountains and 12.5-13 in the flats. Just did a 4 night trip with 5ver over to coast and back thru mountains. The route has 6 to even a 10% grade with many corners posted at 20mph with a couple even at 15mph on the 8-10% grades. Round trip with a bit of driving without trailer was 10.9mpg.
