Was wondering what turbo you guys recommend for my 3406 Cat? I am goin to get industrial injectors and I need a turbo to move some air. I was told to get a cummins turbo, but someone told me that if you get the right CAT turbo it will do just as well! Im tired of getting passed by a 500 Cummins in my bosses pete so I want to upgrade the old girl.

Borg Warner 199119. Or 198123 if you flow enough fuel.
Follow Tony's pump mods, and you'll be right on.

A friend of mine said I could also use a turbo off of a 3406C-460hp and it would work very good too? This true!

The 3406C - 460 turbo is pretty much the same as the 199119, but if yiou have to buy one out right the 199119 should be cheaper

I have a c model turbo on mine OR-6051 get along great with it. You can buy it no core from a borgwarner dealer (schwizer borg warner same company) mine ran 1100 but that was a year or two ago, I was running the holset ht 60 before it was fast to spool up but it ran outta steam faster after bolting on the 6051 i noticed a jump in torque and lower temps..
