Rebuilding Big cam 400 ????

Is it necessary to cut the LPF(Lower Press Fit liners) if the block has been cut for them? What does this prevent or help? Thanks

IF thay are LPF alrady then just put the liners back in and set your protrushion. make shuer thay are not over size liners alrady. (was UPF and was cut to LPF) take the number off the liner flange and call cummins thay will be able to tell you.
