It is the lower most cover on the pump. It is also closest to the drivers side of the truck on the pump.

Don't just crank the screws all the way out. If you go to far with the screws you will loose the torque rise, and responce/performance will suffer slightly.

Fastshovelhead and AaronF are both right. Make sure you hook the little yoke over the plunger when putting the afc back on. The cover with the fuel & torque screws is a S shaped cover with a 7/16 & 3/8's head if I remember right.

I already had it put back together and ran it to make sure everything was working alright. Just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind I went back and read the instructions I had and they said to remove the afc housing. Guess I'll find some new instructions if they're that bad off.

That sounds like a idea! There is a lot of knowledgeable people here that can help you.
The dumbest question that can be asked is the one you never do.
GOOD LUCK!

Re-post of Tony's original by neverenufhp.

The first paragraph deals with the AFRC. The rest is for the rack adjustment (fuel screws).
Except last two paragraphs - timing and turbo.

Rack screw cover is bottom left. 2 bolts - 7/16 socket.

Your CAT shop should be willing to email some diagrams if you call and ask.

I've already done the springs method and it didn't make any difference in power. I also adjusted the AFC setting, and then set it back to stock because I didn't like the touchy throttle. I hope to try for the actual fuel screws this afternoon now that I've got some directions that make sense
