First off I owe a huge thanks to "oldnotslow" for his help over the weekend. He's a true asset to this forum (along with many others).
ANYWAY..... Over the weekend I built a "boltless" bumper bracket for a customer. Now this morning, the customer shows up to have his bumper installed. Her's where the problem came in. At some point in the trucks life, it had been involved in some accidents. As we all know, the first thing to break on a 379 in any sort of frontal collision are those stupid flimsy ears for the bottom 4 bumper bolts. This truck was no different. ALL 4 were gone. I really didn't want to mount this guys custom built bumper with only the top 2 bolts on each side, leaving the bumper prone to vibration and probably cracking. I certainly didn't feel like (or have time to) change both front spring hangers either. So I Came up with a easy solution. A repair "kit", for lack of a better term. Check it out on ebay......item # 121273414331. or pm me for more info.
