4900 Dt466e dies
1997 DT466E starts great but randomly dies and won't restart. When it won't start it sets a code for communication failure to 2nd computer. (Can't remember what it is called) The problem is the fuse in the battery compartment. It is always blown hard not just melted. This seems to happen about every 1000 miles and all but 2 times out of 12 it has been while it is warming up in the morning. One time after a stop it wouldn't start, I checked the fuse which was fine and then it fired right up only to blow the fuse about a block away. The other odd time it was idling after arriving at my destination. I can't imagine that a bare wire is shorting somewhere since it has only done it while moving once. I'm not sure what amp fuse it should have either. Sorry for rambling...
