1998 Dodge 2500
serious question here..
ive got a friend in college with me, and he has a 1989 toyota 4wd and hes asked me to help with a 4BT swap in it. he wants to leave the factory 5 speed and transfer case in it. i honestly dont have a clue where to start with this project, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

2004 Frod F-350 4X4 with 6.0 diesel engine and Tor
You will have to figure out if the tranny and transfer case will handle the torque of the Cummins. Then you will need to see if it can fit and thirdly if it can be adapted to do what you want.

I'm willing to bet the factory 5 speed won't hold up to the torque of the diesel if pushed. Just look at its physical size compared to others.

there are some on 4btswaps that have done this
