drop a 6,6 duramax in a 91 silverado

hi, i`m driving a old (91) silverado 6,2 any one know if it is possible to drop a 6,6 in it ? also if so does it fit on the 4l80e tranny?

you could..its been done before on mid-90s trucks. You'd have to have a complete donor vehicle to pull it off.

It would bolt up to a 4L80, but you'd have to build the trans to handle the torque. The new full-size vans come with the 4L85E behind a detuned Dmax (250hp).

You will need the fuel tank, lines, low pressure pump, harness,ecu, radiator, intake, basically everything. Might as well grab the Allison while you're at it, they talk to each other. You may get a code of the ecu doesn't get feedback from it.

Unless the donor was dirt cheap or you really had something special about the (
'91.............
