What does it take to put a cummins to a 4L80E, if I were to use the 4bt chevy adapter, what would I have to do for a flexplate. What bolt circle is the 4L80 torque converter. Just a little curious, and it would be for the truck listed below, and the engine is a non-intercooled out of a 90 dodge.

Destroked has the adapters and you will need to run a PCS standalone controller. It is allot easier to find a 47rh or convert to a NV4500.

I have seen the destroked adapters, but I could get the 4bt adapter for much less. However, I would like to see a picture of what it looks like with the 10 degree tilt on the engine when using that the 4bt adapter. I have done a little research and answered my question, the 4bt flexplate with the wave ring will bolt to the 6 bolt 4L80E converter, it is the same as the th400 that would have been behind a 4bt. The next thing would be the controller, I was under the impression that all 6.5 diesel with the 4L80E had a standalone controller but have found that it was only early models. Using the factory controller would be the hardest part, but not that bad, just needs a TPS and RPM signal.

I have one in my 72 c10 not much of a tilt 1st I had a 400 turbohydro with a Nah overdrive when the auto went out i put in a NV4500 Lt out of a Chevy 1 ton smaller that the Dodge one worked out just fine.Better MPG with the stick even better after I took out the 4.10 and put in 3.08 gears.
