DT360 swap in progress

I finally made it to Ohio to get my inline-pumped DT360 for the new swap. It was quite an eventful trip but ended well. I dropped the motor off to Carsons on Thursday morning. He will be doing the adaptor plate and motor mounts for me as well as the work on the Bosch pump, probably more as the project progresses.

Mods to be done:

either modify the A pump or go to the P-pump and associated mods
Pushrods and valve springs to prevent valve float over 4200 rpms
S300 or similar turbo

and we're off to the races. I only desire mid 500's on this build for now but according ot hypermax 3000 HP is capable on this motor.

The cummins swap is getting popular so I wanted something different. The DT360 is dimensionally similar to the 5.9 same displacement, but much stronger in almost every department. I will try to keep this updated as the project progresses.

That's a beautiful thing!
Your pump can push way more fuel than an S300 can feed. Personally, I would only switch to a P-pump if the price was right. I had a long talk with my local injection shop about the A, MW, and P-pumps.
I tried to do the DT466 swap, but life happens. I'll keep my hopes up for doing it some day.

You'd be surprised what these engines can do without even opening em up!
Oh.....
We need pix!!!!

I only want mid 500's.... anything more for a daily driver tow machine would melt down the drivetrain behind it... u-joints, rear ends, etc.... I dont want it laggy either, so maybe a small s400 is in order. I also think the A-pump will put out all the fuel I need too for now. This should be a fairly reasonable swap especially after I hoe that row for all the others with the adaptor plate and flywheel for the 4r100. Pics will be up once there is something interesting to post.

I've posted all my PSD performance stuff in the for sale section. Have at it boys...

The motor fits in the truck and its at the CNC guy now for the adaptor plate. Progress is being made.

Adaptor plate should be made sometime early next week. Then it's all downhill from there. As far as the motor in a truck, it's in a mock up truck right now figuring out the motor mounts. There is no mid-mount option on this motor so new crossmembers etc are in order.
