8v-71 In a 4700

Man, i just found this site while looking for some info on the aforementioned. Great site!! Anyway, i was trying to see if anyone has seen a 8-71 in an International 4700. My dad and i are thinking about swapping the old 444 for the detroit. He has the engine... and plenty of time, but i'd like some feedback on the swap. More importantly i'd like to hear if it has ever been done before. If it has the swap will be a go. If it hasn't the swap will probably still be a go. He wants to do it because it will be different........and because they just sound badazz. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IDK if it has been done, but if you have the engine, I would do it. What year 444 is it?

It shouldnt be all that hard, you should have plenty of room. Not most people's first choice for a power plant, but as long as it's already there, you're ahead of the game. Just need to fab up the basics, and it's a go. Highly doubt it's ever been done to that body style.

I do agree its not most peoples first choice, but its kinda got a wow factor and its different. If he does decide to do it, i'll post pictures of the build up and any other info people might want. Don't know how soon it will happen because there isn't anything wrong with the current 444.

That should make it better, and more pleasurable to drive.
