Tug-A-War Truck Pulls

I'm looking at building a Tug-A-War truck, it would be my 87' F-150 with possible a CAT motor in it.

I will need sponsors to fund the project but I need to know how many Tug-A-War competitions there really is. I know that there is one in Orlando at Jessie Black's about 4 times a year. What other events is there through out the year?

Thanks in advance,
Kenny

I don't think that the setup will work good for sled pulls. Not saying I won't try but I don't think it will do well.

I'm looking at a motor that is from the 70's and has a manual transmission that's even older. It's going to have a lot of low end grunt, I just don't know about the top end till it's in a light pickup truck. The motor came out of an old fire truck and was going to be used for a mud truck. The owner has come to the understanding that it is going to be way to heavy for a mud truck. I do know that we drove the fire truck around the neighborhood a few times before he pulled the motor and it ran like new, I guess you could say it purred like a kitten(sorry but I couldn't resist).
