450r vs. ltr450 vs 700 raptor

ok i bought a 07 450r and added the hrc kit within 15 min on the motor.
i raced a raptor and he pulled me on the bottom and mid-range, but let off when i got to 4th and would not race from 3rd gear start. when i raced the suz450 from a roll, i left him all 3 times in 3rd and 4th and really pulled in 5th. he was running 18" tires on the rear but, it should not make that big of difference between 18" and 20" tires. i know the 450r is quick but thought this info would spark an arguement tbd.

2003 chevy 1500 leveled on 22s pioneer dvd and cd with jbl subs amp and mids. like the truck but its nothing to me till i get another that can run with out spark plugs....on the lookout for a 2003 and up 6sp 4x4.....then its on!!!!

i have a 700 and i will be honest with you i have raced 3 yammy 450s and one i murdered he had the gytr pipes and the other 2 beat me just barely not sure what all they had on them 2,

i am bone stock at teh time -airlid i will tell you that on the 700 18" tires or gearing down hurts the raptor, there all low end power there are tons of 700 owners out there who geared up with great results, (which i will do myself) but the 3 are so close matched that its really a riders race

i really think if the raptor's owner and i traded quads for a race we would have the same outcome with rider just because he might weigh 130 and i am 270 so that is a significant differance to his advantage.

the fact that you weigh a little more may be the cause here..... i am 185 Race weight and there is not a quad i cant take with my 05 450R... and the 06/07 450Rs are a lot stronger than the 04/05s.... the 06/07s are VERY Fast....

This is a Discussion that has been talked about for ever on my other site (www.trx450r.org) .... the LTR sounds like it was STOCK ... if he pulls the baffle out of his exhaust and then puts the Yosh Cherry Bomb on it then be prepared to have a race on your hands....

The 18" tires would give him the advantage down low but you will get him on top end.... ALSO... the SUZY is geared for quick pick up and not really a lot of top end... thats another reason why you ATE him in 5th gear....
