i think as a pure work truck you cant go wrong. the job 1 trucks had a couple of minor issues (leaking radiators, puking coolant laddeeda de da) but if your buying it used then they should be ironed out. there was certian build dates in the job two trucks that had injector problems but they were all recalled by ford so hopefully the dude that had it before you wouldve taken care of business. that problem was on a very select few trucks and the injector manufacturer was at fault not ford. id stay away from any trucks with low low (f450 with 4:88) gears just because the fuel mileage is bad enough you dont need any help burning more diesel. delete the dpf, run a good tow tune and youll love it.

hey Sled, after some reading you seem to really know the late models well. I am heading to auction this week for trucks. been away from Fords since the 06' 6.0
I am looking for 350's as pure tow work trucks. Would you please give me hints as to which series to avoid? 08' and newer.

    Big Thanks,

    KC

That's cool. I won't be goin to indy. All my money is goin into my truck. Now I need to buy a locker for my diff lol. Then I'm sure more tranny upgrades before I add more air lol. I'll be stopping in Red Deer on my way down. There is another NHRDA race in Saskatoon the following weekend. I haven't decided if I'm gonna go, if not I'll probably go to Castrol if they have an open night. I'm hoping my convertor comes in next week. I was talkin with Greg Hogue and he was cutting 1.60-1.70 second 60ft times with his 1000hp 2 wheel drive cummins with the same rubber I'll be running and Caltrac's. I'll be so stoked if they work that good on my truck.
