hey i just bought a 6.4 2008 an been doin alot of research on tuners and liking all the info on the spartan... just wonderin if it reads EGT's pre and post turbos or where the stock pyrometers are on the engines or if any?? any info would be great!!! thanks all
Spartan is a good product. You won't be disappointed. Coming up 40,000 miles and 35,000 of them tuned - without issue. I tow a 14,000lb 5th on the 210hp mode, and run daily on the 300hp tune (fast and smooth).
does the spartan have the option of running turbo back exhaust with no sensors put back in the pipe?? can you just turn them off wen running the DPF tunes?
need to get something straight in my mind....did spartan at one time need the sensors and now you are the same as H&S ??? and dont. ...seem to remember guys breaking sensors and having to replace them on the delete...fact is i also remember bungs welded onto the delete replace pipes.

All current tuners are sent out with our V2 software, which shuts off all of the sensors in the exhaust. We also send out delete pipes without bungs in the exhaust. Both Flo-Pro and AFE offer delete pipes without the bungs. This software is also available to current DashDAQ owners who do not have the software. If you purchased your tuner before the middle of September 2010, you most likely don't have the V2 software update. You can get it if you would like.
It's time, see you have what I want on sale, deal #2 for $1749.99. I have a 08 that was bought new in may of 07, one of the first ones on the lot. I will call sales next week to order but is there anything else i need to know?? If i buy next week will the tuner have all the latest updates you talk about??
Not sure if it will have the update or not. That all depends on if it's ready or not by the time you order. Just give the office a call, and Angela will set you up with what you need.
for your new deal that comes with the tuner and AFE stainless down pipe back exhaust..... do you know what AFE part number that is... i i want to check out the system before commiting.... thanks again!
stroker, do you have a approximate time when the updates will be ready, i have waited for almost 4 years another week won"t matter, i'll put my 2" lift in first.
I will tell you right now, Spartan is second to none in everything. Just talk with Mick a few times in the Tech dept. and you will see ( or hear, rather lol) what I mean. I was talking on the phone to a guy in Missouri (1200 miles from me) whom is selling some items (including Spartan DashDAQ) and we got talking about Mick and how he was out that day with an ailment. It is like a family when you deal with these guys, literally.
im new to this stuff so please stay with me, i was reading up on this tuner and it says you can get up to 250hp under offroad, and then it says "NOTE: Off-Road tune choices from above will require DPF removal are for off-road use only!" what does offroad mean, like mud racing, also does the spartan have different setting you can put it on like example: towing, fuel economy, performance or is it all one tune
It is illegal to run a DPF delete "on-road". Does that stop people from doing it....hell no.
We offer several different tunes. Stock horsepower without the DPF up to 350 extra horsepower. There is a tow tune in their. We also offer four DPF on tunes up to 150 extra horsepower.
Yes. There are different license levels, but it's all one tuner.
