Thinking on adding a Jetta to the driveway. Like a 00-03. Who can share the pro's and con's? What should I look out for? Anything to watch for on cars with 125-150k miles? :thanks:

Depends what you wanna have. The 90hp versions have a very good VE Bosch IP that can handle a lot and you are also not stranded for special engine oil that the pump nozzle's must have. If you get one that has 100hp it is a pump nozzle. Not that the pump nozzles are bad, but they need TLC. Not using the right engine oil will void warranty on those and it will wear the camshaft round, thus creating a miss. Sooo unless you know that the pre owner done a perfectly good job on servicing the car and the book is filled out with all the services done using that special oil and dealer stamped, I wouldn't touch a pump nozzle. Your call from here on. Good luck!

I guess that is good then. We are looking for a 2000-2003 to keep the price down. It has now changed from a Jetta to the new Bug. Went and tried a Jetta tonight. At 6'4" I was cramped. Might have something to do with driving my 2500 CC all the time:) Got in a bug and it was more roomy and did not rub the head on the roof. They had one diesel on the lot. A new 2006. To much $$$ for me.
