Alright guys what do ya think? I have the below things done to my truck and am currently running the xtreme street tune from IDP. My buddy has a 2500 with 6.7 cummins with the new Smarty running level 5. I use to have a 6.7 and know it was quick but don't have any expereince with one runnin a smarty. All he has is an intake. Either way I'm gona run him but am I gona win?

moved to Road Kill, Bench Racing but left a 3day redirect

i say the 6.7, from what i understand the smarty is nasty on that thing

#10 ·
Could be a close one Dom. just give it that ol college try and see what happens..let me know how the smarty does..

#11 ·
Dom you know where my money would be. Why wont he crank it up to level 9?

#13 ·
Wouldnt see why not they are holding everything else so far its only 170hp claimed

#15 ·
The 68 is much more of a beast compared to the 47 and 48

#17 ·
It would be a fun show see how far he got

We were told in class the 68RFE is almost a copy of the Allison 1000. But in any case, if you're serious about your torque no stock tranny will hold what you want.

The Allison 1000 holds about 75-100hp over stock. At least my friend with a 2003 Duramax made it to 85 hp over stock with exhaust and tuner on a stock tranny. The great thing about the Allison is its shift program, its the fastest shifting tranny on the market but when you start building for performance the only thing that stays stock is the case.

It was tonight and I lost 2 out of three. The only time I won was from a dig on a high boosted 4wd launch. I actually killed him on it by three trucks but he didn't lauch very hard at all. The we did it from a roll at 15mph and 30 mph and he pulled a half truck on me each time up to 85. Keep in mind he was running in level five with stock exhaust. When he does his EGR, exhaust and runs on level 9, look out Spartan 6.4's, the smartys coming. I was depressed!

6.0s are at a big disadvantage from a roll tho....boost lag and crap..

#28 ·
This is what it was> He would pull a 1/4 length on me and would inch away after that. Wouldn't have mattered weather I rolled into or mashed it. It pulled harder. Were gona do it again next week at the track. That way were bother under exact same conditions.

Not so bad if you know how to drive it... Rolling into throttle vs. mashing it etc. etc.

#31 ·
I keep telling you dont mess with a dodge from a roll... there 3-4th gearing in the tranny just makes it pull..... they suck off the line... and throwing in a lock up switch helps out ALOT

#35 ·
Ford's are heavier than the rest... Keep in mind your weight was for a dually tho "dinner"

#36 ·
and a dmax would be bout 1k lighter! LOL

#37 ·
Thats why they are fast with just a tuner and exhaust from factory

#41 ·
You get that fueling prob figured out and you will be good if not time for you know what Dom.

stock 6.0 should be bottom 14s if not 13s depending on weight, driver, altitude. I'm sure a 310spartan 6.4 would rape a 6.7 cummins

i dont think a 6.0 stock would be in 14s....15s i think...a lot run high 13s low 14s tuned....ive seen a few 6.4s go 13.1-13.2 in the 1/4 with the 275 tune...310 should be 12.9-13.0 id say... i VERY seriously doubt the 6.7 will do that on tune only....and if it will, it WONT do it on bone stock tranny i bet...well twice anyways on stock..LOL
