Does anyone have a instruction on swapping out a tranny or better yet a torque converter? I have a stock auto and thinking of doing this later down the road after I save my pennys.

It can be done on jack stands and with hand tools. But you will need to borrow, rent or buy a porto-power to spread the frame to take the cross member out and/or re-install it. Get the truck up as high as possible. You'll have to pull the starter and DS(s). I pulled the T-case with the trans and re-installed them seperate. I had a friend with a trans jack and that made things easier. You can get some adaptors from Summit or Harbor Freight to turn your floor jack into a trans jack but you won't have the tilt option like a true trans jack has. Having a helper is good as well because they can turn the alternator to spin the motor over so you can loosen all the converter bolts. When re-installing the converter leave the bolts loose until you get them all in so there is some slack to get all the bolts started (I found that out the hard way). Change the input seal on the T-case while it's out and check your trans mount and replace if it's questionable. It's fairly straight forward and just take your time. I set a weekend aside for mine. I had a spare trans I picked up so I had that one rebuilt and pulled mine and installed the rebuilt one same day.
