I got a new input shaft for my transfer case from Sogrand here on the forum. The rest is wiring

Go to Powerstroke nation conversion section. http://powerstrokenation.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28
Thats were we fummins go for answers. Search the threads I have started. I started a thread for everything even though I knew the answers to help people out

I used a ford powersteering pump and a autoworld bracket. Then you dont have to make lines

Here is the Schematics from Dodge

This is to make it start. 3 wires is all you need to fire it up. Make sure you have the hot on a constant even when it fires. I used a wire under the dash. alot of wires or power shut off when you crank the motor off.
Data Pin 2 goes to Pin 22 Wt/Vt on the C130 (Pin 28 on the c2)
Data pin 12 goes to Pin 11 Wt/LG on the c130 (pin 19 on the C2)
Data Pin 7 goes to Pin 12 Wt/Br on the C130 (Pin 16 on the c2)

Wire in the 2nd obd port into the cummins ecm and put it in the stock location. Tie the Ford one up out of the way so you can get in and read abs codes and disable check engine light etc....
Ford Ob2 part number
Part #WPT-615
3U2Z-14S411-LKA

Data link connections
data link pin 5 to white /brown pin 12 of the C 130 connector or pin 16 of C2
data link pin 8 to wt/lg of C130 pin 11 or pin 19 of C2
data link pin 16 to chassis ground
data link 26 to 12 volts hot at all times
This all you need to at least use a Smarty for recovery or downloads or clear Cummins error codes the factory one will be for ABS and heater control if ever needed. By the way just wait till you get to interfacing the transmission gear selector Chrysler is multiplex and Ford is a digital input to the Pcm,I haven't got this figured out yet.The Start relay from Ford will require attention also the ground from thr park/neutral switch on the 48re will have to go straight to the start relay instead of the PCM output ground. I haven't made it work yet but hopefully it will tomorrow

Accelator pedal of a 2005 motor. You need the accelator pedal abnd plug

Pin 7 on the c130 to pedal 1
Pin 6 on the c130 to pedal 2
Pin 9 on the c130 to pedal 3
Pin 27 on the C130 to pedal 4
Pin 23 on the C130 to pedal 5
Pin 24 on the C130 to pedal 6

Transmission
Just tie pin 5 of the C130 and pin 3 of the C132 together at the same place and run your two wires for the Battery temp(you need one from the dodge dealer. Dont ask why, it wont shift with out it) to the battery tray 1" hole saw worked fine, install sensor hook up two wires(C130 pin 5 and C130 pin 10) and make 132 pin 5on ETC/Pin 12on MTC DB/DG to the same place as C130 pin13 a Ford hot run/start and if the ECM has the Auto program installed your done with that part of the conversion.
Next will be the start circuit, brake switch,4x4 module,VSS,factory gauges lots of fun stuff.

This should get you started
One day I am going to write a thread and ask them to close it. I think that might be on the to do list for winter.

I will take 1k for it and i will need you stock pump so i can sell the motor as a complete unit. but it may be a couple of months before i can part with it i am in the middle of a move moving from texas to maryland:bang

thanks Rob, I just got off the phine with both destroked and the ford cummins, I think i will stay with the 4r100, if i could talk to someone at destroked that had a better information than the receptionist they have answering there phone i would like to do some business but after talking to Ryan at fordcummins i will probally use them.

#15 ·
I hear not so hot things about ford cummins?! I may be wrong but destroked makes some killer parts that have proved them selves for some time now.

#17 ·
I cannot personally but I heave read multiple post from this forum and others saying to stick with De-stroked. I dont remember details and at the time had no interest in conversion. Now that its in the middle of my mind im trying to watch it all happen!

Scott at destroked is who you want to deal with....Listen to me, beans, gos and even Corey(squatch)

Powersteering pump conversion bracket ....autoworld
Mounts....destroked
Tach module Destroked
if you use another trans other than dodge....flex plate and adaptor bracket....destroked...

If you use other garbage...your on your own

#21 · (Edited)
I will use destroked for some stuff, I would really like to get my questioned answered by someone more experienced, I want to know what destroked does or has to offer about wiring this thing in, ford cummins will build me an adaptable harness using my old 7.3 engine harness (I have and extra one lying around that would be perfect for this). what i dont want to end up with is spliced wires that make it look like an afterthought.

alright this sucks, just as i think i am gettting a plan together the boss steps in and says sell the truck and buy an excursion to do the conversion on:soapbox is what sucks more than that is excursions are priced high, 30K for a 5 year old vehicle is rediculous. anybody have an excursion they want to sell? i would prefer to buy one with a bad engine or trans because all that is getting pulled anyway, i think i will take robs advice and put a ats 48re tranny in with the motor...

#27 ·
? why an Ex? Is this project for someone else

#28 ·
That's what I don't get either. I thought this was your truck and your project? Why follow your bosses advice about trading off your truck for an Ex?

#29 ·
i thought this was my project also but she steps in and says that she is not done having kids (I am though) 2 kids is enuff for me:gaah so to make her happy i thought i would look around and see what is out there but even v-10 powered POS's are rediculous so maybe there is hope for the truck :woohoo i know that if i do get one with the 5R110 tranny it will be short lived around my house and it will be replaced with a 4R or maybe use the 48re if rob will let his secret of getting it wired up in the truck:madpoke

#30 ·
Oh "THAT" Boss :haha

#32 ·
alright, everything is back on track, i am putting the cummins in my truck, probally starting in march, the wife is not ahppy with me though:notme anyhow my swamps injectors are for sale as well as the whole motor. le tme know if anyone is interested the stealth has been spoken for so far.

#33 ·
if she wants a kid carrier why not pick up a cheap mini van? LOL Project looks good so far, a well built 48re is just as stout as anything else out there :thumbsup

#34 ·
All the parts are on the way:woohoo, just got off the phone with auto world and bought everything including the painless wiring harness, The only thing now is i have to get moved in to my new place so i can start. much more to follow.:toytruck:toytruck:toytruck:toytruck

it never ends... just when i think i will be able to start this project i find out i have to go to Iraq..... damn ******** keep interfering with progress:bang.... i will start as soon as i return home:wtf... and i get my tach kit from scott that i have been waiting for, it has been 4 months since i paid for it and still nothing...

#38 ·
Which tach kit do you need? I have the GM one, but it wouldn't be too hard to cut some teeth off.

I'm in the same boat, waiting on a part that should have been in my Allison kit!

Best of luck in Iraq. Where are you headed?
