How much pressure do the pressure plates hold for a 96 F-250 . I think stock is 2600lbs and I have been told the performance pressure plates hold 3400lbs . Which south bend clutch set up would I need to hold around 500hp(ceramic , kevlar) ? My factory stuff is like a 12 1/4" flywheel , it is the dual mass . I would like to go to a solid flywheel .
That's what makes those cats at SBC so good, they got the retro kit so you can swap and the friction material so you can hold.
If you have the coin, step up to a DD clutch.... there is no replacement for surface area. More Forgiving and greater hold while giving you longer life
