cummapart's 1996 Chevy C3500 SRW

Originally a 350 Vortech V8 Gasser 5.7L engine with a Cummins 4BTA 3.9L Bosch VE pump-turned up from a Chevy Grumman Chips van, mated to the original 4L80E trans that came w/truck, fed by a Compu Shift programmer. T/conv. from a Chevy Diesel. After market engine mounts w/Gen 1 rubbers, stock cooling, straight pipe w/gasser muffler for quietness. 2wd rear ratio 4:10 (3:73 would have been a bit better) hwy MPG 21 low - high 24(cruising at 65-70)
Home job, done in my garage w/ help of a few friends. Loved it , enough power to pull camper , a bit loud and cost as much as a 6BT...... w/less power.
