Here's one that's got me absolutely stumped... Customer has an '01 T800, R/R Brake light won't come on.

The details...

L/R lights all work properly stop/turn/running/reverse...
R/R lights all work as above except the brake function... lamp is good as the turn works.

Tried new turn signal switch and it meters out as showing voltage to the R/R lamp wire on the connector with bakes applied.

At the junction box on the back of the frame it shows blinking voltage on the green when turn signal is operating but nothing with brakes applied, again new LED lamps, left side works 100%, right side everything except the brake function, grounds are star grounded to the frame and carried through the harness.

Any ideas ????

Thanks,
gb

Don’t know if they have them in an 01 but I just chased a wild wiring issue in a 2010 w900 headlights turns on one side wiper brake lights I checked grounds bulkheads chased wires from one end to other batteries INSTALLED TEST CECU REFLASHED Turn signal stalk smart wheel. And it ended up being the turn signal stalk module was bad shorting doing weird stuff I have another 2009 and 2001 w900 with headlight issues but they have swapped with leds. And no resistors I would check wiring at on the modules if it has one then the module itself I can’t remember what they call the older cecu modules then grounds if they have been swapped out for led lights it may not be making enough resistance to actually make it work right have this happen all the time on many different trucks just need a resistor in line remove led and put incandescent in it’s place see if it makes a difference
